About SketchLoop

What is SketchLoop?

A real-time multiplayer party game where players turn ideas into drawings and interpret each other's creations. The fun is watching how a single prompt drifts through drawings, guesses, and ratings — usually ending somewhere completely unexpected.

Inspired by Gartic Phone and Telephone Pictionary, built browser-only, no signup required.

How a round works

  1. Prompt phase — every player writes a one-line prompt for someone else to draw.
  2. Drawing phase — prompts are shuffled (no one draws their own), and everyone sketches their assigned prompt within the timer.
  3. Guessing phase — drawings are revealed one at a time. Everyone except the drawer writes a guess.
  4. Review phase — for each prompt YOU wrote, you see the drawing + the anonymous guesses, and rate each guess on a six-bucket scale.
  5. Scoreboard — points are awarded based on the buckets, the leaderboard updates, and the next round begins.

Scoring

Two-axis design: a clarity axis (spot-on → off) plus a humour side-track. Funny rewards the guesser for creativity without crediting the drawer for clarity.

Privacy

Drawings, prompts, and guesses are exchanged only between the players in your room. Nothing is uploaded anywhere else, and rooms are deleted automatically a few hours after the last activity.
