About

Notes & references

What you can do

  • Annotate with text, colour, and freehand draw layers.
  • Stickers + shapes — emoji, lucide icons, arrows, rectangles, circles, lines. Each layer scales / rotates / repositions.
  • Crop, flip, rotate — visual region picker for crop; one-tap horizontal / vertical flip; 90° rotations.
  • Undo / redo with the full history stack.
  • Save / load named snapshots via the global Save panel — useful for multi-step edits you want to come back to.

Just need a quick resize?

  • The editor's annotation + sticker layers add weight you may not need for a plain resize / format-convert / compress flow. Image Resizer ships exactly that without the layer machinery.

Persistence + privacy

  • Every edit happens in your browser. No upload, no account, no server round-trip.
  • Inputs + saved snapshots live in localStorage; clear it from your browser settings to wipe.

Output uses lossy re-encoding (PNG / JPG / WebP), so save the original file separately if you need a lossless archive.

Frequently asked questions

How do I annotate or draw on an image online?

Drop an image, then use the toolbar to add arrows, text, shapes, freehand pen strokes, highlights and stickers on top of it. When you are done, export the annotated image as PNG or JPG. It all happens in your browser.

Is the image editor free, and are my images uploaded?

It is completely free with no signup or watermark, and nothing is uploaded — editing runs entirely on your device, so your images never leave the browser tab.

Can I crop, rotate or flip an image?

Yes — crop, rotate and flip are built in, alongside the annotation tools, so you can fix the framing and mark it up in one place.

What image formats can I open and export?

You can open common web formats like JPG, PNG and WebP and export your edited result as PNG (lossless, keeps transparency) or JPG (smaller file).

Is it good for annotating screenshots?

Yes — arrows, boxes, text callouts and a highlighter make it well suited to marking up screenshots for bug reports, tutorials or feedback, without installing any software.
