Frequently asked questions
What can this calculator do?
Five tools in one: a Standard keypad, a Scientific calculator (trig, logs, powers, factorial, π/e, DEG·RAD, memory), a Graph mode that plots y = f(x), a Solve mode for linear, quadratic and simultaneous equations, and a Matrix mode (determinant, inverse, transpose, add/subtract/multiply).
Does it work in degrees or radians?
Both — toggle DEG/RAD in the Scientific keypad. The graph uses the same setting, so sin(x) plots correctly either way.
Can it solve quadratic equations with complex roots?
Yes. Enter a, b and c in Solve → Quadratic. It shows two real roots, a repeated root, or a conjugate pair of complex roots, plus the discriminant and vertex.
How do I solve simultaneous equations?
Solve → “2 unknowns” or “3 unknowns”, type the coefficients into the grid, and it returns x, y (and z). It’ll tell you if the system has no unique solution.
What matrix operations are supported?
Determinant, inverse, transpose, and A+B / A−B / A×B for matrices up to 4×4, with clear errors for singular matrices or mismatched sizes.
Is it free and private?
Completely free, no signup. Every calculation runs in your browser — nothing you type is ever uploaded.
