Notes

Privacy

  • Files never leave your device — the merge happens entirely in your browser via pdf-lib. There's no upload, no temp files on a server, nothing to log.

Per-file controls

  • Rotate applies to every page of that file in the output (handy for PDFs of sideways scans).
  • Pages filters which pages from this file end up in the merge. Leave blank for "all pages", or type ranges like 1-3, 5, 7-9. Invalid expressions silently fall back to all pages so you never end up with an empty output.
  • Use the up / down arrows to reorder files — the merge is built in list order, top-most first.

Limits

  • Max 50 MB per file. No cap on number of files, but very large merges may run slow on mobile.
  • Encrypted / password-protected PDFs are loaded with ignoreEncryption — we'll do our best, but pdf-lib may refuse pages that require decryption.
  • Form fields, annotations, and signatures may render but won't be re-stitched in v1 — the merge keeps page content, not interactive metadata.

Coming next

  • Page-level reorder / rotate / delete (drag individual pages, not just whole files).
  • Per-file crop with a visual region picker.
  • A separate PDF Compressor tool that re-encodes images inside the PDF for big size wins.

For most documents the merge is byte-for-byte faithful to the source — but pdf-lib re-writes the resulting file structure, so signed PDFs may lose their signature. Check important documents after merging.

Frequently asked questions

How do I merge PDF files into one?

Drop two or more PDFs, drag them into the order you want, and the merged file builds automatically — download it with one click. You can also rotate a file or pick a page range before merging. It all runs in your browser.

Is this PDF merger free, and are my files uploaded?

It is free with no signup or watermark, and nothing is uploaded — merging happens entirely on your device with pdf-lib. Your PDFs never leave the browser tab, which makes it a private alternative to iLovePDF or Smallpdf for combining PDFs.

Can I reorder, rotate, or pick specific pages before merging?

Yes. Each file has up / down controls to reorder, a rotate button (0° / 90° / 180° / 270°), and a page-range field — type something like 1-3, 5, 7-9 to include only those pages from that file in the merged output.

Is there a file size or number-of-files limit?

There is a 50 MB per-file cap (large files strain the browser when parsed). There is no fixed limit on the number of files, though very large batches use more memory.

Will merging reduce quality or break my PDFs?

For most documents the merge is faithful — pages are copied, not re-rendered, so text and images keep their quality. Because the file structure is rewritten, a digitally signed PDF may lose its signature, so check important documents after merging.
